Takashi Tanemori, a survivor of the world’s first atomic bombing on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945, speaks candidly about his experience at the age of 8 years and his life afterwards at the premiere of Is It Already Dusk a performance piece conceived and created by Joan Evans and Harry Rubeck and directed and choreographed by Joan Evans and co-presenteded by the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, NYC and the Irondale Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Is It Already Dusk is based in part on the life of Takashi Tanemori and the attack on the World Trade Center in NYC on 9/11 2001. Director and choreographer Joan Evans used these two events, separated by 55 years, to ask the question “How can one forgive what are essentially unforgivable acts perpetrated on individuals or countries?”

I have had the good fortune to spend considerable time with Mr. Tanemori, interviewing him and working on developing a feature length screen play based on his memoir Bridge to Forgiveness, his 60+ year odyssey to learn forgiveness. The screen play is still in development.
